The irony is still that Israel, currently occupying Palestine, and in constant military conflict, gets money from the US while still maintaining a functioning welfare system.
I am of the opinion that Israel is in a constant state of conflict precisely because it benefits America’s defense contractors and international banks involved in these contracts. The USA might have actually pushed for peace had they not been so profitable for them if war continues.
The USA pays Israel for intelligence and intelligence work. There isn’t money just being handed over.
