The difference is you haven’t stopped buying cars after doing so your entire adult life. Because in that case the statement that you’ve saved money by changing your habits would absolutely be justified.

As I suspected, it was just a play on “saved” as if I didnt go spend that same money on groceries and clothing for my kids.

I suppose you could figure out an average meal price then multiply that by however many days
