minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink15•16 days agoYou think THAT’S an unpopular opinion? I personally think that they should never even have made the first one.
minus-square🇰 🌀 🇱 🇦 🇳 🇦 🇰 🇮 linkfedilinkEnglish10•edit-216 days agoPeople I know IRL who hate on the last few because they were so over-the-top; I think they’re the best because they were so over-the-top. So just driving under a truck, or drifting is cool, but jumping a building to blow up a helicopter with your car is dumb? Whatever. 🙄

minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilinkEnglish14•16 days agoFirst one is like a time capsule of street racing and car culture of the moment. It was better because it was grounded in reality. The driving and stunts were cool because they were believable. The new stuff is just over the top action. To each their own :)
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink14•16 days agoThe first one shows a criminal gang and you know they’re serious because they have a truck full of stolen dvd players…it’s a great product of its time

minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink3•16 days agoYeah, the best way to make a bad movie good is to make it into a farce*, whether on purpose or not. Examples include: Crossroads, Commando, The Room *though there are of course truly great (and usually criminally underrated) movies that were farces on purpose from the start
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink1•16 days agoI didn’t even know Tokyo drift was an FF movie
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink1•16 days agoyou like what you like but the drifting car chase is just so painfully stupid
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink1•16 days agoYeah cause the rest of the fast franchise is so grounded and serious, don’t they go into space in one of these, I mean come on
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilinkEnglish3•14 days agoPossibly the peak of the franchise, assuming you enjoy drag racing more than professional musicians launching cars into space.
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink3•14 days agoIf nothing else, it gave us a banging song for memes, or in my case sailing in valheim and swinging boats around rocks.
