In other words, so long as Greece plays the good boy doggo and keeps paying for US weapons, the US has an interest in maintaining the stupid status quo.
The only way out would be if our European partners took Greek and Cypriot defense and national interests as seriously as they take those of, say, the Baltics.
I guess I was more thinking in a “boots on the ground” way. We don’t have a problem pouring money into the wrong causes but he does seem to be unwilling to commit US troops. I’m sure he’ll keep placating the bootlickers in some way of his own choosing.
