Eh, well, as long as you don’t count literally the very first instance our admins decided to federate with and immediately air out their discord drama with.
I will absolutely figuratively die on the hill that this was a mistake from day one.
Lemmy does have a way to enable IP logging, right? At least IP addresses aren’t federated and our instance doesn’t log them. That’s some truly heinous stuff.
That’s why I said that I understand how it’s important for auditing. You can publish the code and still protect it with copyright. I suppose someone could still steal it, but that’s a few more hoops to jump through.
