minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink1•2 years agoThose Apple cables die very quickly, so replacing them with longer lasting cables is actually cost effective. Sure, instead of 1 cable every 3 months it is 7 cables at the same time, but still no excuse.
The reason is money.
It’s more complicated than that. There are lots of people that will be very annoyed when they unbox their iPhone and their plug that they don’t think about at all doesn’t work in the 7 places they’ve left them.
