I’m rooting for mastadon, but I’m also practical. User adoption is an important criteria and due to Mastadon’s decentralized nature, it will always struggle against centralized services like Threads and Twitter.
I root for Threads because Muskrat is a piece of shit and I’d be delighted if his haphazard business venture failed. I never thought I’d say this about anyone, but Elon makes Zucky seem likable by comparison.
No reason Threads won’t become as scummy, if not more so. Why not root for Mastodon instead?
Because I don’t think people like Woj are ever coming to Mastodon. I use Mastodon, but it is largely tech people.
