minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilinkEnglish0•2 years agoTwitter and reddit have externally hosted media, so they consist of mostly text which is easy to host. YouTube has a lot more data to deal with, a federated alternative wouldn’t be feasible for literal petabytes of it.
