Why is Palestine able to invade and abduct Israeli civilians?
They normally can’t; they needed to conduct a once a lifetime military operation to do it.
That aside, what I meant was: This shows the systematic issue in Israel that makes options like Hamas appealing. The fact that Israelis can get away with violence against Palestinians in the West Bank is a systemic issue, and not a new one.
I mean I guess Hamas soldiers doing the shit they’re doing right now is a systemic issue too (though that makes it sound more benign than it is), and I’m not defending it. I’m just saying that this is a (in this case very inappropriate) reaction to the conditions Gaza and Palestine as a whole are forced into, and Israeli settler violence is an example of those conditions.

Would i be correct in my belief that it is a systematic issue on both sides?
