File management under windows is really something else. Apparently there are third party tools that somewhat mitigate this.

Then I just walked away, because even during those rare situations, it doesn’t matter how long it takes. Only took an hour though, and Windows was still working flawlessly in the meantime. Running on +8 year old hardware even. You sure you used Windows in the last 20 years?
