My biggest concern with leaving Reddit is that I was primarily there to push public opinion towards sanity. Now with people who were willing to take a stand against authority leaving, how hard is the most popular discussion site going to shift right?

That’s the only real difference I see. People here want less authoritarianism (generally), and are willing to sacrifice something to get there.
