Being too fixated on peyote trips (or the like) is definitely common, but talking about how the timestamps of drum fills relates to alchemy or some other deliberately esoteric subject as a nebulous metaphor for . . . self-improvement? is definitely not something you’d find among whatever losers listen to Imagine Dragons.

Not my experience. I had a gamer zoomer cousin who was obsessed with imagine dragons and would take over the car radio and play exclusively leagueoflegends-core and get really annoyed at anything else and call it boomer music if it had guitars
