Have you ever lived under a terrorist regime? When did Palestinians last vote and what is/where the demographics of the population vs eligible voters? What kind of democracy do they have, one like North Korea or maybe they have a government like the US? What’s the name of the president of Palestine? How many generals do they have? Do children deserve to be murdered because of how their parents voted?

When you opt for war, you’re the one putting your and your children’s lives on the chopping block. You better be damn sure it’s a risk you’re willing to run.

Funnily enough, this has happened in the West in the last century. It was called “Vichy France” and those who rolled, les collaborateurs. There’s a reason “quisling” is a word.

My history is a bit fuzzy because I don’t remember allied forces turning all of France into rubble in response

Thanks! Not that surprised though considering what happened after 9/11. None of it is acceptable. That many civilians dead gets rid of your “fighting to protect people” stance.

We never should’ve gotten into Afghanistan or Iraq.

Even the very existence of the United States was caused by an illegitimate insurgency. That we happened to win was because of attrition and logistics. I make no illusions about the dawn of my own country.

                  But reality is often disappointing.
