minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink2•2 years agoThis is what I always wonder when they tell me a plant “tolerates clay soil”. Like does it really? Or does it just avoid it by spreading out all its roots in the thin topsoil? This would seem to be the latter.
Why are the roots so shallow? Wouldn’t the trees stop this from happening?
