Plus I can follow all of you from all those instances, over on pixelfed (the Instagram analogue), thought I have zero idea how things federate in that direction as I haven’t used pixelfed much yet.

Dozens of websites all speaking one language behind the scenes!

Ok straight up how did you comment from it? I tried with mine before making my comment (cause I was gonna do it from pixelfed like you, but I couldn’t figure out in the UI how to get to this convo, just a person.

Edit: I literally just made an account last night lol

I had to paste a link to your comment in the search bar of my pixelfed instance. I think pixelfed UI isn’t as well integrated into the fediverse as other platforms, it takes a bit of mucking around to make it play nicely.

@[email protected] @GeekFTW hmm… pixelfed doesn’t seem to be pushing the updates out, or if it does, there is a long delay. I had to get kbin to pull those couple of comments from my pixelfed instance. I don’t use pixelfed very much, there could also be something broken in my setup.

When I paste the link to a comment into pixelfed it just sits and spins on its thumb so things could just be a bit gimpy.

@GeekFTW @[email protected] I’m also running an older pixelfed release – I should probably update it, but it’s also possible the newest release may introduce compatibility problems with kbin and/or lemmy
