I… think I have an idea of what you’re talking about since I’ve seen it before in other sci-fi and I fucking hate it already.
The background codex for Earth literally states that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. I believe they also imply that African countries still haven’t advanced much because they are still being exploited.
