You could argue the territorial disputes over that specific plot of land began much MUCH earlier than israel’s founding. That 1949 date is just one example. It’s not exactly like 2000 years ago that zone was a paradise of peace and love.
How is that any different to Europe defending Ukraine from a Russian invasion? Why can’t other countries defend Palestine during an invasion?
