The only time I had a park ranger get stern with me is when my husband was moving towards the Buffalo in Yellowstone, which was totally reasonable. Otherwise they’re giving history lessons and general looking after the park and trying to tell people don’t be a Darwin Award. So they aren’t really cops to me.
