Well that pop-up for every single app does go away, but as far as controlling it, I have not seen a way as of yet. Maybe if you turned off automatic download, that might do it.
That should be correct. Any app you have previously updated with the update button should now automatically update, but apps that you have not updated at least once since getting the newest fdroid will still require pressing the update button one time until they’ve all been updated at least once.
