I’m so glad there are instances that aren’t infested with tankies. I tried to argue that China was imperialist and erased minority cultures on lemmy.ml and half my comments got removed. Anything mentioning Tibet or Xinjiang they seem to seek out like flies to shit.
My introduction to lemmy was trying to argue with hexbears that N Korea propagandizes its citizens more than the US. Apparently I was wrong and dumb and N Korea is a really awesome place to live, despite none of the hexies moving there for some odd reason 🤔

Its is absolutely amazing the number of femboy/catgirl/trans/lgtbqia+ people do not understand that being themselves in say Soviet Russia or modern Russia or China at basically any point in time I am aware of, or nearly anywhere in the Middle East or Africa… they would be massively oppressed if not outright jailed or killed.
As you say with North Korea, with China as well there is this mental wall of everything bad you hear about those places is Western Propaganda.

“Anarkiddies” is their usual term of abuse.
They just deny everything about Xinjiang, but somehow it needs multiples of them come out to do so.
