My extremely rural county of 60k population has one for some reason. The best part is, the one time there was actually an armed and dangerous individual on the run, they called in aid from a major city an hour away. They did however parade around with it and strongly consider actually pulling at the tractor pull with it
My extremely rural county of 60k population has one for some reason.
The reason is that it’s decommissioned from the military and police forces get a massive discount on buying equipment decommissioned from the military.
It’s absolutely wannabe soldier types being jealous of the military toys and begging to have have them paid for by the cities.
You don’t look to your neighbor anymore to keep up with the Jones’ you now know of and look at hyper specialized interests and tools.
Similar to how people have entire production centers in their houses revolving around resin crafting and 3D printing. Now everyone can get the cancer they were so jealous of.
