My cat’s name is Possum. Not really a crazy name, but it has caused confusion before.
Once I was picking her up from the vet and said “I’m here to pick up Possum.”
Then the lady at the front gave me a confused look and said “We don’t treat Possums here.”
I tried to name my cat Lou (short for Lucifer) but eventually he got renamed Mao because he is loud and vocal and apparently we name animals by Pokemon rules in my house.
I mean, still could pretend it’s in Japanese so he’s a demon lord
I have a cow cat with one big black spot on the top of his head and on big one on his back. He’s a very big boy who looks rather imposing but he’s really sweet. We call him Kenny or Kenny-chan but his real name is Kenpachi (from Bleach). Coincidentally he lost an eye to cancer over a year ago so he looks even more like his namesake now.
I have one cat named Luci, Short for Lucifur.
Another cat called L.T. which is short for Lieutenant Columbo homicide detective with the LAPD.
I also had/have a cat named L.T! It was short for “little tip” because he had just a tiny tip of white fur on his tail, otherwise a standard issue brown cat. The tip darkened away to nothing as he got older and he hops down stairs both front feet at once, so now his full name is Lieutenant Jack Rabbit.
I have to admit, I’m a little disappointed they aren’t named after L.T. Smash. Lucifur is a great, and appropriate, cat name.
Our cat Mittens full name is “Murder Mittens”.

My late cat Dinah had the full name: Dinahsaurus Dinah the Dinahnator, but we often called her a list of other names. Dinahsaur was her favorite.

My cat’s legal name is “About a girl”. The cattery named her. But we call her Muffin
