In my experience, no one lectures you more than a meat eater when you tell them you don’t eat meat. This is true in my experience. I have a medical issue that makes it difficult to eat most meats and no matter now many “I can’t” and “it was literally killing me” I say they still come back with "well I would anyway. Cool, you do you but I’m not gunna die because a bacon triple cheeseburger sounds tasty.
