Interesting how news like this doesn’t typically blow up on social media, yet similar for religions with more darker skinned followers typically leads to significant vitriol.

The Christian churches probably have trillions in wealth — if you include all the illegal/unreported funds they hold (offshore accounts, etc) — so they have both the reason and finances to fund lobbyists and bot armies to suppress negative news.

Germany isn’t even secular. “The law” doesn’t apply to the church, there’s a separate set of laws for them. And the taxpayer funds the church because of some agreement from 200 years ago

To put that in perspective: If he did that to 1 kid every day of the year, he would need 548 years before reaching that number. What a monster

“God” let this happen? Odd. But “God” can help someone find their keys or win a football game?

“Good news: over 99% of Spain’s population have not been sexually abused by priests!”

That nothing is being done against those people shows that chat control is not intended for fighting child abuse.

      This, tbh.

We see adults sexually abusing children and getting away with it all the time, yet for some reason we all have to give up encryption and let the government read all our messages to “protect the children” from the sexual abuse they already aren’t being protected from.
