For me its got to be the dude behind Healthygamergg. I just find his advice so ridiculous and just really dislike how he just seems so absolutely certain in what he says.
Here’s one that I wish I didn’t:
Brandon F.
He mostly does videos on the revolutionary war. He’s a reenactor, obviously knows a lot and is very excited to share it with us. His video topics are often highly niche. I want to like his videos.
However good lord, he has uncontrolled purple prose. I’ll put on a video of his and eventually switch away in frustration after a few minutes of him laboring on a joke not worth the time. Aside from bad, overly long jokes put on a forced accent and ramble tangential to the topic when all I want is for him to talk about the thing the video is supposed to be about.
If he hired an editor his videos would be great.
YongYea - He haves the most milquetoast takes about video games and his Cyberpunk 2077 review was so bad he deleted it off of Youtube.
EDIT also he’s a corporate shill.
From what I’ve seen, his videos can be summed up by their titles, negating the point of watching them.
This dude just casually said milk toast in his comment like it’s a normal word
It is a normal word?
It’d be far easier to list out the ones I like and why. I hate some because I don’t like the way they speak, what they present, how they present it, and many other things.
I’m not going to write any more out though. It’d be an essay either way.
I have a 9 year old. Every YouTube channel is annoying. Rebecca Zamolo is really annoying. The Daily Dose of Internet guy, his voice is pretty annoying. There are tons of people who try to copy Mr. Beast that are just painful to watch.
Oh god, why do I have eyes and ears :(
My kid is ten. I don’t like most of them, but the ones I hate are the one who punctuate their prosaic Minecraft and Roblox adventures with blood-curdling screams.
I couldn’t name you a single youtuber.
Who asked
Dunno if you can read, but the thread is literally a question.
You answered a different question
I see, you have no reading comprehension. No problem. That happens.
Simon whistler. He actually runs like 2 dozen YouTube channels and he’s basically just a narrator. I can’t stand him because of how confidently he talks in his videos while being egregiously incorrect. Like one example is why Canadians are so “polite”. His explanation was that Canadians had to cooperate and live with the indigenous peoples to survive but if you know a lick of history that could not be fucking further from the truth and is completely idiotic.
Whistlin Diesel is the only person I’ve ever blocked on YouTube. He’s one of those people you just don’t like from the first moment but aren’t sure why.
I hate one that keeps popping out on my suggestions, which is this chick, buying cheap dresses from pinterest and showing them on her channel, but what really grinds my gears, is that she buys shit that is obviously, too fucking small for her size, and the type of dresses, are not meant for her body type… and its a never ending thing…
Epic NPC Man. Their show is great, but now when I pay video games I can’t help but see their characters in the NPC.
Greg the garlic farmer does not belong in the fallout series.
That guy sucks, I agree
MrBeast - just seems dodgy
Agreed
Pretty much any of them that lean heavily into a redneck personality. Especially if it’s a completely fake redneck personality.
Whistling diesel, cleetus McFarland, demolition ranch, zipties&biasplies, and hundreds of others whose name I can’t be bothered to remember.
Soup?
I’m pretty sure I thought whistling diesel and cleetus mcfarland were the same person…
Destin from SmarterEveryDay
(It’s a joke I swear!)
I don’t remember they guy’s name, but he was a Minecraft Youtuber who liked to shout “Let’s go!” at the end of EVERY SENTENCE HE SPOKE. I gave him ten minutes of my attention and that was being generous.
Healthygamersgg is a licensed therapist, how is his advice ridiculous?
The guy just appears so confident and certain in absolutely everything he says and acts like he has the answer to all problems related to mental health. His advice doesn’t resonate at all with me and his advice just sounds like he is talking from his ass 99% of the time.
I’m a healthygamergg proponent atm, but we all have to admit that there’s some overlap between interpreting results from science into actionable points and needing to use personal morals/philosophy to get there. Also, that there’s plenty of areas for improvement in terms of data supporting conclusions, although it’s also valid to use the best we’ve got so far until more results come along.
With that in mind I do find myself being a little skeptical of some of his jumps to assertions, as in sometimes maybe overly simplistic, yet still valid ways of interpreting, imo.
Do you have an example or two of what might be the more egregious ass-talking, or what chaps you the most? I’m not looking to attack the criticism, just curious at this point. Maybe there’s something I need to pay more attention to.
Because it’s not opinions coming from him. It’s coming from the entire field of psychology and therapy. That’s why he’s licensed. This is like arguing with a science teacher because you don’t like what they’re teaching.
What I really hate is an account that posts a ridiculous number of youtube links.
Ah man, those are the worst!
