Noticed on the new packaging that they’re now calling out our concrete bikkies explicitly. Any other states want to chime in with theirs or does the edible slate tile from NSW/ACT reign supreme?

The Tassie ones seem pretty solid and crunchy, didn’t know they had different recipes for them, ill buy a pack and report back

A while back I noticed the Kyogle shops was selling both NSW and QLD gingernuts so the only logical course of action was to conduct an experiment by consuming both packets. The NSW variant is indeed the supreme one of those two, at some point I’ll have to try out the other regional variants to compare.

How were the Qld ones different? Softer?

I do love the crunch of the NSW variety, but worry without dental cover under Medicare I’m definitely going to end up paying thousands for it haha

The QLD ones are bit thinner, darker, and less chewy than the NSW ones. They’re still hard but it’s a more brittle sort of hard (and they fall apart faster if you dip them into coffee).

It’s because the mixture is slightly different across some state borders. Some states seem to like it more peppery than others

As long as the flavour doesn’t change, it’s fine. Fuck i love Ginger Nuts

The flavour already changes. Every state has its own different Ginger Nut, more or less.
