Republicans’ credo is “the end justifies the means”. They don’t care what illegal immoral actions it takes as long as it gets done. Especially when it comes to getting everyone else deep throat christianity like they have. They will back every kid-diddler under the sun and believe the biggest lies as long as it means they dont have to pay some taxes or they can oppress someone.

This source is as to the right as it gets, so rule 2 shouldn’t be an issue here.

For those of us that care about the country and freedom, keeping religion out of politics should be a high priority.

Yeah, I would have posted an actual, credible, good source. But from my search, the only sources that are pointing this out and are high quality are left leaning sites. How strange.

Is it just me, or are lefties way more into the misdeeds of politicians and celebrities? I mean, sure it’s important, but it feels like the left cares more. Maybe it’s just confirmation bias.

The right doesn’t care about bigotry and double standards. It’s not just okay if their politicians lie and do bad things, it’s expected and supported. Compared to that, the left is definitely more aware of their own politicians misdeeds, and actually punishes them.

If you want examples, just look how long it took the right to remove Santos from his position - and even then the majority tried to keep him in his position.

No they don’t. Good lord keep the conversation honest.

Aoc comitted several ethical issues and you are cheer her on. She also “faked” her arrest.

Could you show me where I cheer her on?

If you want to, you can list a couple of the ethical issues you speak of. If they are actual ethical issues, I’ll disavow her here and now.

But I can’t imagine that they rise to the utter shit-show that was Santos, who - again - is STILL supported by the majority of house republicans.

Why the what aboutism? Everyone says santos must go. I’ve yet to see anyone defend his actions.

            Santos goes beyond politics.

The majority of house republicans wants him to stay. Literally, more house republicans disagree with what you just wrote than agree with it.

But again, I’m not trying to employ any whataboutisms here. List some of AOCs ethical issues, and I’ll disavow her here and now.

Saying ‘I’m gonna be a dictator’ as a part of your campaign is more than a scandal. Calling your political opponents vermin is more than just gossip. Anybody who cares about freedom should be extremely concerned. This isn’t how a democracy is supposed to work.

Do you expect us to not take the promises of politicians to do evil as something to be concerned about?

You have it backwards. Trump is the one who said he is going to be a dictator.

Trump is the one that called his political opponents vermin (and therefore basically quoting Hitler.

The republicans are the ones seeking to increase the power of the executive branch.

Trump is the one eroding trust in democracy by lying for years about the 2020 election.

Trump is the one being acting like a strongman (a common trait amongst fascists).

Trump is the one proclaiming that he and he alone can save the country (another strongman tactic).

Trump is the one galvanizing public rage against a made up group of elites for his own political power.

Trump is the one who said that there is a “Tremendous infectious disease is pouring across the border”. That’s an incredibly white supremacist thing to say in case that needed to be spelled out.

Trump is the one who is treating women, minorities, and anything outside of a heteronormative lifestyle as second class:

            • “When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything”

            • "You have to treat [women] like shit.”

            • Discrimination against black people in his housing

            • Banning trans people from the military

            • Appointing numerous openly homophobic judges

            • He stripped the ACA of anti-discrimination law for queer people

Trump was the one who encouraged police violence against minorities.

Trump was the one who said a group of neo-nazis had ‘very fine people’ among them.

Trumo was the one who told the Proud Boys, a group of white suppremacists to “Stand back and stand by”.

Trump was the one who hired a guy with ties to white nationalist groups.

Trump was the one who called mexicans rapists.

It was Trump’s supporters who attempted to kidnap and possibly execute a democratic govenor, shortly after he tweeted “LIBERATE MICHIGAN”.

Trump is the one who installed the supreme courts necessary to overturn Roe, which later resulted in his party instituting laws that turned civilians into spies that are rewarded for turning people into the state for “crimes” such as transporting pregnant women.

Trump was the one who pardoned Arpaio for racial discrimination.

Trump was the one who pardoned his own administration members when they were caught lying to congress, misusing campaing funds, doing tax evasion, etc.

You have it so far backwards it isn’t even a joke. I don’t have any more willingness to dredge up any more of the shit I’ve saved over the years. But it’s fair to say that I’m only pointing out the tip of the iceberg.
