    This is such a grift.

They haven’t been able to induce lucid dreams with ultrasound, they don’t have any sort of prototype, and they don’t have any evidence that this technique will work. They’re taking down payments for a hypothetical product that they will probably never build.

You know how in Terminator 2, Sarah Connor realizes what she has to do when she finds out the name of the scientist who kickstarted Skynet?

That was a good movie. I only bring it up because I think everyone should watch it at least once. No other reason.

    1. If we could work while dreaming and live our daily lives free, without any damage to our psyche I’d take it.

    2. Imagine how this fucks up a person so bad that 1) will not be good

Honestly? The appeal of fucking off to france-cool gets more and more appealing. Sure, their bourgeoisie is just as ghoulish as America’s, but at least their working class has less corporate loyalists.

Literally with ideas like this what other thing is there to do than to just get rid of them? Like no I’m not doing that, no one should do that. Sleep habits and how they affect the human body and psychology is one of the most understudied things in science I would think. Why would you complicate it with this shit?

Sleep is important, it’s the only time your body repairs and builds itself really. Don’t fuck with it.

Don’t worry, they’re affiliated with Neuralink there’s no way the tech will work

I’m morbidly curious, what will happen if people don’t want to have Neuralink planted in them? No way porky would just let someone refuse, that would be leaving money on the table.

        • make sleep work pay well
        • a lot of people do it because money is tight
        • wages don’t increase with living costs
        • sleep work is now necessary to not fall into cultural poverty
        • ???

    a-guy

So…if I am SOO needed that I literally have to spend my entire existence 24/7 working even when I’m asleep. Why does everyone insist I have to do my work for free?

This is some of the best agitprop material I’ve seen in a while. “The rich fucks who own everything make you work two jobs just to barely afford rent with roommates, they’ve made having teeth a luxury, and now they’re bragging about their plans to enslave you in your own goddamn dreams.”
