Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing fine and are well prepared for the winter holidays!
We at Dramatic Labs want to sweeten the festive season a little and are therefore giving away a total of 10 copies of Star Trek Resurgence on a platform of your choice (PS4, PS5, Xbox or PC).
Star Trek: Resurgence is a narrative-driven adventure game created by former members of Telltale Games that delivers all the excitement and wonder of the Star Trek universe. Join the crew of the U.S.S. Resolute as first officer Jara Rydek and enlisted engineer Carter Diaz on a mission to prevent an eons-old and powerful force from engulfing everything in its wake!
To take part, you have to comment on which Star Trek games you grew up with and which one was your favourite. The 10 winners will be randomly selected and contacted by me. The giveaway will run until 21st December 23:59 CET.

Oh man! I used to play the Star Trek: The Next Generation Echoes From the Past game on Sega Genesis. I was really young but loved flying the Enterprise around and pissing off the Romulans.
I played around with the Star Trek: Encyclopedia on PC which was fun and then much later on I play Star Trek Online now and again. It scratches that Star Trek itch to fly ships around and customize them. Great game but I’ll never forget the times with that Sega game.
I got my Trekkie mom the Star Trek 25th Anniversary game for christmas, but I defitnely ended up playing it more myself!
My first one was Star Trek TNG: Advanced Holodeck Tutorial for Game Gear. I wasn’t really a trekkie back then (had watched a few of the TOS movies with my dad and liked them but didn’t really care much about Star Trek until around the 30th anniversary I think). I remember thinking the game’s enterprise design was dumb and wanted the stylized one from the movies back (and Kirk and Spock and Scotty instead of these “random stand-ins” :P)
And I think my favorite one was a heavily modded Bridge Commander. I didn’t really play much of the actual game (or “the campaign” as kids call it today) but spent probably around 100 hours playing custom scenarios, battles from the movies and shows.
Starfleet Command 2 Klingon Academy Armada 1 & 2 Hidden Evil Elite Force 1 & 2 Final Unity Bridge Commander
I played them all to death! Such a good time.
Not played any of them before, but this looks great to jump in with.
I liked the Elite Force games when I was a teen, but I grew up with and still love WinTrek! https://archive.org/details/win3_WinTrek
I always loved the 92’ version of Star trek the board game! Lots of good times, plus I just another box unopened from a garage sale! Want to break into it but I probably won’t do this would be cool on PC!
Anyone else first play Star Trek (1971)?
Oh, yes, one of my first DOS games, played it lots, but I don’t think I ever cleared the board. Always ended up running into three or four Klingon ships and getting blown up.
I don’t think I ever got very far, I can’t believe it basically predates the personal computer?
It does! The game is from ‘71; PCs really took off in the early 90s, but they started in ‘81: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_PC_compatible
I’ve actually never played any Star Trek games before - I think the closest I’ve gotten is Stellaris, which definitely made me think of star trek. I don’t know if that disqualifies me, but I might pick this game up anyways, sounds like a good time right now.
Star Trek 25th for me, still love it
The first Star Trek game I played was a shareware version of EGA Trek for DOS, which was also one of the first computer games I ever played.
I remember it would tell you a starbase was under attack and you would have to go there to defend it. One of my torpedoes missed and hit a star which made it go supernova, destroying the enemy ship. Fun times.
@n01getsout @Yannik wow I remember that game but my all time favorite would be Star Trek Birth Of The Federation
The fuck? This game has been out since April but because it’s an epic exclusive I never saw it.
And now I’m pirating it, thanks for the free copy of the game. Would’ve bought it if it was on Steam and not tied to an anti-consumer practice like Epics exclusivity deals.
I have so many hours of armada that I played when I was a kid … Now I feel like I should try and play it again
My favorite was Armada with close second Birth of the federation, a very good turn based strategy game. Also played Bridge commander, Elite force 1&2, Armada 2, Starfleet academy, Klingon academy…
Atari 5200 Trek. I absolutely loved that game as a kid and I still have the box and manual to this day.
That and PacMan are the only two games I had on the system. A beloved neighbor bought it brand new in the box from a yard sale and gave it to me around the the time the SNES came out.
Once we got that the Atari collected dust. We moved on and beat Super Mario World over and over again.
I still have a sweet spot for that game. Unfortunately the last time I dug the Atari out the controllers didn’t work any more.
