Very ironic na si sir 88M pa ang nagpu-push mag-tax ang tao
Tbf, his alibi for “tax evasion” is that he was under the impression that his staff took care of those. Sure it’s good practice to check if your staff is doing their job, but from what we know of BBM (a bum), I wouldn’t expect him to do that.
It’s also not unheard of to miss filing ITRs out of oversight. My first employer failed to do it for 3 years and I only found out when they couldn’t give me my TIN number. It wasn’t malicious or anything.
That said, I do like this law because it helps freelancers pay taxes easier by digitizing BIR services. They don’t have paid leaves so they don’t have the luxury of setting aside a day to do that.
I definitely guilty for hating the guy without considering his move, but kudos to his admin (not him hehe) for doing thia digitize thingy

Im worried about the kids of today being driven to become terminally online. The opportunities for children to go out and have fun are diminishing because of rising costs and increasing car centric infrastuctures. I feel like this is why more and more children are becoming depressed and isolated

Speaking of 3rd places, napapaisip ako minsan kung viable pa ang “3rd place” exclusive groups (ie eagles, masons, rotary). Ive never been involved in any pero nawala na yung “mystery” ba sa mga grupong mga ganyan? The exclusive networking seems more or less gone with today’s interconnectivity.
my definition of a 3rd place is a communal space where there is little to no capital(money) needed to enter so think the library , church , public parks those clubs are still exclusive in the sense that you need an absurd level of influence or cash to enter

A congressman argued that for jeepney modernization to push through under the “PrObLeMa NyO nA mGa TsUpEr YaN”, the fare has to be 40 pesos or roughly 10k/day in earnings, whichever is higher.
Naturally, those calling the drivers drama queens and pounding their chests about the environment, disagrees with it. Bakit daw mga pasahero sasagot, bakit hindi gobyerno — which is 1000% the reason why the drivers have been picketing for years, lmao.
haha of course ayaw nila na sa kanila maipapasa yung bayad… they only think of themselves, kasi if they really wanted to help the environment and the drivers, then they should step up instead of virtue signaling blah blah blah. but then again the jeepney modernization program should have had more government support financially anyway, especially considering that they seem adamant on forcing it…
