I’m kind of partial to Special Bulletin.

I’d argue Threads isn’t a particularly well-made movie, but is the most objective & realistic depiction of nuclear holocaust

Peter Watkins is better in terms of narrative structure though every second of Threads is genius though if War-games was double the length it could probably approach Threads levels but with a lot more exposition through interviews.

Thank you. I’ve never seen this, but it sounds amazing and I plan to watch it my next day off

It is, in my opinion, one of the best depictions of what it was like in the 80s when we were growing up with a constant awareness of the possibility of a nuclear attack. It was really weird how normalized that whole idea became, and then how it all just changed.

And I’m saying that as someone who was in the industry.

This is the place for discussing the potential collapse of modern civilization and the environment.

Collapse, in this context, refers to the significant loss of an established level or complexity towards a much simpler state. It can occur differently within many areas, orderly or chaotically, and be willing or unwilling. It does not necessarily imply human extinction or a singular, global event. Although, the longer the duration, the more it resembles a ‘decline’ instead of collapse.
