The red pistachios were from Iran and have been under sanctions and embargoes most of the time since 1979.
Of course they’re expensive think of how much labor it takes to put them in the damn shells!
Like so many things, they only seem expensive until you try to make your own.
I feel the same way about cashews 😡
Ollie’s right now has a whole shelf filled with big bags of white-chocolate-covered cashews for $5 and it’s taking all my willpower not to go clean the store out.
