Still yet to fully sink in that we’ve signed Declan Rice

I expect at one point I’m just gonna collapse

Goodbye, all respect for Jordan Henderson. Hope Southgate doesn’t even pick him next time tbh

Looking at football.london’s transcript of the post-match interview cuz arsenal.com doesn’t have it yet; Arteta said that “we have 30 players here which is unsustainable.” Who would you guys want sold? Transfermarkt lists 33, not 30, so I assume he’s rounding off lol.

For me (in no particular order): Cedric, Runarsson, Pepe, Trusty, Elneny (probably not sold but turned into a coach ideally but I’m sure he’s not ready to retire), one of Balogun/Nketiah, plus loans for Marquinhos, Tavares, and Sambi.

    • @Astrealix @gunners We have Gabi, Zinchenko, Kiwior, Tierney (left); Saliba, Timber, White, Tomiyasu (right) – Cedric, Holding, Trusty, Tavares should be sold.
Links to Lavia, Kudus means Sambi’s time is up.
Pepe will be terminated as it seems. Marquinhos – loan (hopefully in France).
Balogun is the only different striker we got (living off the shoulder of defenders for runs behind, the others are poachers). I would sell Nketiah, but seems Mikel hasn’t yet makeup his mind.

@Astrealix @little_niggle I definitely see Elneny becoming a Colney fixture, he only signed a 1 yr deal on reduced wages so I don’t think selling him is a priority. I’d rather see Flo go, probably get more for him than Eddie

I don’t know that we need the money is the thing. If Palace actually wants Eddie and if he gets to start regularly I’d have no gripes with it, if Balogun wants to stay to fight Jesus for the spot even better.

@Astrealix I don’t want to end up like 80% of #Arsenal Twitter, who are apparently all the greatest experts in football the world has ever known, and love reminding everyone of it. 😀

My other issue with Balogun though does relate to whether he’s willing to stay and fight - strength in depth is great for both injury cover & competitive drive within the squad, I find Flo an unknown quantity in terms of how well he fits into the team mindset Arteta’s building. If he does, great, no Auba 2, plz
