it feels like it’s only ever a matter of time before X person or Y group or Z company that’s run by and/or espouses so-called “Christian” views, especially the more vocal and focused on “family” issues will be exposed, somehow, as being involved in some sort of sex abuse scandal or being involved in some sort of sexually-involved hypocrisy. it’s seemingly all these people know…

He should have just stopped by a church and asked a priest for tips. I’m sure there were local teens he could molest.

An Ohio Chick-fil-A owner has been arrested after authorities say he drove more than 400 miles south to North Carolina to meet a 15-year-old he met online, reportedly broke into the family’s home and allegedly molested the child.

¡The call is coming from inside the house!

I didn’t read the article and assumed that he drove that far to yell at a kid who worked in one of his stores.

Can you imagine you wake up in the middle of the night and find some dude in his late 40s in your house, banging your teenager?

      Yes.

Edit: lol someone downvoting what the company itself gives as the reason for them being closed on Sunday.

If you believe in Christianity you are automatically an awful person with the mind of a little kid. Is it weird knowing how easily you are indoctrinated? Do you also still believe in Santa?

You’re quite euphoric, in this moment.

Yes, that’s important. I’m sure the victim is happier now that you’ve clarified that bit.

      He’s a franchise owner

Which depending on how many stores he has, might actually make him a ceo etc.(usually, franchises are held in a llc or similar to protect assets of the owner from it going tits up or whatever. Usually each store is its own company, though a new location might be pooled together with an established one to feed assets while it becomes established.

Depending on how much media attention he gets… Chick-fil-A might force him to sell. For reference it takes 10k start up (and whatever else you need for the building and shit,)

Right, an owner of a Chick-fil-A or chain of them, but not THE owner/CEO of Chic-fil-A.

The title makes it seem that what’s going on here.

I’m not defending Chick-fil-A, I’m just pointing out the shit title. I don’t understand the love for Chick-fil-A and their overpriced mediocre chicken sandwiches.

399 miles I could be okay with, but 400??? Intolerable!!!

Seriously, headlines are weird. Why does the distance matter.
