It’s interesting how this “European” map excludes Ukraine with its 93.3% home ownership, yet it includes Russia.
I think gathering reliable data in Ukraine these days might be hard due to some events in the last years.
The map is from 2022. That would be data collected from 2021.
Hmmm? What events? Makes me wonder… Hmmmmmm… Clearly, someone wanted to exclude Ukraine to ignore my totally-not-outdated data. Interesting, very interesting.
I guess there are simply no data available for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova.
I found data for Ukraine, as stated above. Nothing on Belarus or Moldova.
What’s the definition of owning the home? I assume that even if 85% of the value is a bank loan, it still counts?
A lot of Eastern European countries had relatively cheap home privatization schemes in the 90s, so I am not surprised.
