Mostly green tea. Dragon Well is my go-to, I find it very comforting and it has a cool name.

Though yesterday I had some Assam tea and it was really good, I don’t drink a lot of black tea but that’s my favorite that I’ve tried.

oh I also drink peppermint tea pretty much every night

I really like a pu’erh. A slightly fermented oxidized tea.

I got this tangerine puer that I really like. Comes all packed inside the rind and you can add some of the rind for more citrus flavor.

I bravely fight British stereotypes by generally preferring coffee but I do love Lapsang Souchong which is a smoked Chinese black tea that tastes like a campfire but in a good way

  • I like to mix it up a little every now and then, but Assam is one I always find myself coming back to. I generally prefer my tea with a dash of milk and a touch of sugar or just plain tbf.

Earl Grey is actually really good. A little cream is nice if you like. Some people like lemon instead. Don’t do both. Also nice on its own.

If the taste is too strong for the vibe, try lady grey which is the same but slightly more subtle.

My favorite tea when I lived in Japanese was traditional (and unsweetened) cold green tea I could buy bottles of at a convenience store. It’s an acquired taste but I grew to love it. If I was about town and I was in the mood - I’d grab the hot version. Probably from a vending machine.

I assume making a cold version at home would be pretty simple but my lazy ass can’t be bothered. Also I’ll hate any bottled version of “green tea” in the US because it’s pumped full of sugar and sweeteners.

    Edit

I must have made a similar comment at Hexbear years ago and I lamented my laziness. So maybe I’ll actually learn how to make cold green tea. But don’t quote me.
