Post pics if you got em! I think mine is my dioscorea elephantipes (at least right now, it changes often). Grown from a seed, she’ll be a year old in July :)

Love the picture! Was it hard to grow it from a seed? It’s always so satisfying to see a plant grow from nothing

Not hard at all! I got some of those seedling trays that come with the lid that allows for easy bottom watering and basically just watered once every week or two. Kept it under a grow light for 12 hours a day and had a heating pad under it set to 22° C (it was in the basement so I didn’t want it getting too cold). Now I just water it once a week and let it do its thing! It seems to really like the bonsai mix.

I have a jade that was gifted to me 8 years ago. It has been re-potted several times. It’s massive and I love it.

Agree on jade. Older ones look great IMO.

Don’t ever expose it to young kids. They love whacking it because it makes chunks fall off :(

We made that mistake with our own kids (two human, one kitten).

Our jade is pretty big + old, and the damage happened years ago. At this point it’s probably due for a good pruning to help it have a better shape. The plant itself has some air roots that form every once in a while, but it’s happily flowering currently so it can’t be all that mad.

Probably my leggy ass jade. I got this thing as a pup in probably 2005 or 2006 and it has somehow survived a ton of BS. The pups that this thing has produced have all been much more successful than this one but I still love this thing.

Personally a big fan of sedum plants 🙌
