But what about Bubba Joe’s lifted F-350 dually with the extra huge exhaust pipes and big big American flags? He’s a real patriot so there’s no way it’s worse than all of these vehicles.

You maybe could if you increased welfare, but US is doing excellent job driving it to the ground

Not totally true because my sierra 2500 has cameras in the front, shows you what’s immediately ahead if you’re going less than 15 mph or so. Beeps like crazy and vibrates your asshole if there’s something in front.

Only an issue of a toddler literally sneaks in front of you when you’re stopped. Not an issue while driving and almost completely out of the realm of possibility in every day driving.

I once heard a story from someone who drives a small car. They were waiting at some traffic lights. A huge ute with terrible front visibility stopped behind them. Then, 30 seconds later, the ute driver forgot there was a car in front of him and drove forward, crashing into the small car. His excuse was “I forgor 💀”

      American style utes are monstrosities.

Are you Australian by any chance? I’ve never heard anyone else use the term “ute”. Just wondering :)

It’s a utility vehicle, mate. I know Americans call them trucks, but over here you need a commercial licence to drive a truck, because they’re big and they’re dangerous if driven by someone without the proper training. American trucks have nothing on actual trucks, though thanks to irresponsible legislation they have many times the death toll.

I understand, it’s just that I’ve never heard that term outside of Australia. I was just wondering.

I agree that the term “truck” for both a HGV and a pickup is super confusing and I made that mistake myself earlier in the thread.

Truly idiots live among us. I don’t think it was the choice of car that caused the accident but what he lacked in his skull.

Well people are always going to be idiots, so we shouldn’t give them the tools to cause accidents like this

Yeah, I was gonna say, I’ve never heard about lifted trucks being banned in school zones.

A BMW M1 sports car, produced 1978-81, only sits 1.14m tall, it’s probably got even better sight lines.

Easy fix- short drivers and lift kits should be factored in with a ban. If it saves even one Power Wagon from a dent, isn’t that worth a ban?

Man imagine if that was an enforced rule

Like, Trucknuts McGee isn’t even allowed to move into a house that’s too close to the school because he’s driving something that’s better rated as an Armored Personnel Transport than as a passenger car.

You could add the “I♥️Gaza” sign in the tank path. They love filming themselves running over signs

Driving their MBT is a “there will be signs”. OP won the lottery and was worried about school zones, like all responsible MBT operators.

Honestly good on OP. We could use more good role models to show the youngins what responsible tank ownership is all about.
