You should probably look into Jill Stein before saying this. She would be above Trump but I’d take a lot of mainstream Dems over someone who seems compromised by other nations and regularly spouts conspiracy-level insanity. That fits both Trump and Stein.

I love this response though. Direct and to the point.

Biden is no different from Trump. Biden is actively aiding and abetting the genocide in Gaza. He is sending billions of dollars of war funding and munitions to Israel, and using his Security Council veto to prevent the UN from intervening.

Trump’s just more honest about it because he doesn’t need to win Michigan.

If you vote Biden, you are supporting fascism and genocide. The only way we’re stopping fascism in Israel is if everyone votes Green.

And I’m convinced that both the Democrats and Republicans would be history if Americans weren’t so binary in their thinking.

          Be non-binary. Vote Green.

No, I’m just not an idiot and I know how the real world works. I wouldn’t vote for Jill Stein even if there was a chance of a third party win, but in this case, there isn’t, and anyone who votes for her is playing right into Trump’s tiny baby hands. And, by extension, Putin. Though, tbh, I kind of wonder if you’re actually even American after looking at your comment history. Voting green means Trump gets elected in a landslide and fascism comes to America.

The two party system is because of the electoral college. No amount of “non-binary thinking by Americans citizens” will change that, only a change to the constitution.

        Unfortunately current polling

Can you like a source who’s method isn’t quick and dirty polls by a company who makes whatever polls there donors want and whose founder didn’t get arrested last election for using his companies polls to try and influence election results so their literal bets on elections would pay off?

Bonus points if the founder also didn’t solicite their employees to enter an illegal straw donor scheme.

        Hint:

Not from this absolute shit show

The poll your likely referencing compared pro-Israel moderates to Biden.

All it shows is the people dont just not want Biden, they don’t want Biden because of his policy stances and they don’t want someone else with the same conservative policy

in which 50% of people are (unfortunately, but accurately) moderates?

Do you think it’s easier to convince 50% of Dems to vote for more than they want, or for less than they want?

And that’s not even getting into how even Republicans agree with progressive policy.

The policy is popular. But with moderate Dems, republicans, and pretty much all of mainstream media fearmingering about progress, people won’t label themselves progressive even though they agree with the platform.

            So who’s your candidate

I hate how people phrase that like anyone saying Biden is a stupid risk, are just saying that because they have a favorite candidate…

Anyone that’s not pro-genocide, is pro-worker, and not trump would have a walkin victory.

You asked for one specific person, so AOC has the best chance to stop trump in my opinion.

She’s young, charismatic, a great public speaker, and can flip red states like Obama in 08 due to those traits.

You are in a tiny tiny echo chamber if you think she’s got a chance. This election will come down to firmly purple swing states, and literally not a single one would swing blue for such a divisive candidate. (Not even saying she’s divisive for good reason, just that she objectively is when you look at public sentiment).

Biden is so unfortunately the best chance to avoid Trump, and he’s not even a great chance.

Our first Black president. Lots of “moderates” said the same things you’re saying now.

Then he flipped a bunch of red states. Not just purple. Solid red states voting for a young progressive minority.

And the vast majority of the electorate is even more conservative now, while modern progressives have less broad party support than Obama did. Obama had also been working on and receiving POTUS chatter for years before throwing his hat in. There’s just no one like that in today’s party.

It’s not 2008, and a comparison of Obama’s chances then with someone sliding into the race this late is not based in reality. I really wish it was, but there is no Obama in today’s DRC, and if there was, his campaign would still be starting 10 steps back to suddenly enter the race. I don’t like it any more than the next guy, but I’m not gonna advocate for even worse chances against Trump.

As a person who participated as a parent in the foster system in Texas, I’m here to say that its about as abusive and dysfunctional as you could possibly imagine. Kids get shuttled between foster homes at the whim of state administrators. The entire focus of the program is to minimize how much they spend. The well-being of the children is an absolute afterthought. You can and will be sued by the agency if you voice any kind of complaint or try to act in the best interest of the child in your care. And even in the middle of said lawsuit, they’ll try to assign you another kid, because their left-hand doesn’t know what their right-hand is doing.

Its a physical, financial, and emotional pain machine for everyone involved. Absolutely nightmarish.

On the other hand, you have “domestic adoption” which amounts to a bunch of expensive private agencies doing all the things CPS is supposed to be doing while CPS officials provide a rubber stamp. Significantly less traumatic for the people involved. But because the private system is entirely funded by the adoptive parents, you’re talking about spending $50-80k to cover the budgets of all these little independent agencies tasked with finding candidates, vetting households, and caring for expectant mothers.

The Texas model for adoption is the closest thing you can image to a full privatization of social services. It exists by, of, and for upper class predominantly white childless adults. I feel slimy every time I have to interact with it, and the only thing that keeps me going is the idea that I might be keeping some innocent kid out of the clutches of the disastrous public system.
