Is it even possible to have “Southern” comedy separate from chud culture war shit? Or would literally every joke just be about “woke” and “DEI”?

I stumbled across the “dry bar” channel on youtube so I think it’d look like that, lot’s of rambling incoherent jokes about kids with pink hair and cop comedians

On Youtube a couple years back there was a Southern comedy series. It was by all accounts rather progressive and chill. The dudes in this pic all kinda look the same to me, but I think the dude on the far right (ironic, I know) is actually a pretty solid bloke. Hell, his stand-up isn’t too bad either.

While typing this comment I realized that there is a version of this show touring right now, and it’s literally just Trump’s rallies. Trump is the headliner of course, but him and the people who lead into him all just ramble free-associatively from one conservative grievance to the next, sometimes telling jokes and sometimes making political proclamations.

When the Trump train stops touring (which won’t be until he dies I’m afraid) a hole in the market will open for an “apolitical” version of the exact same thing, which might take the form of a bunch of failed comedians collecting the easiest paycheck of their lives to go on stage and tell jokes about how many migrants were gunned down by the automatic sentry guns along the border.

Fuck that, commit to the bit and parade Trump’s casket along like that procession unit in Sisters of Battle.

Only if I get to live like a medieval camp follower selling Trump relics out of a tent. For $30 you can have an authentic toenail of Rudy Giuliani dipped in Seagram’s Gin.

I can’t help pointing out that Jeff Foxxworthy was a child of an IBM exec. Him claiming “blue collar” is so fucking disengenuous.

Larry the Cable Guy is also a persona. His real name is Daniel Lawrence Whitney and he majored in drama and speech in college.

You might be a redneck if you see a YouTube short of cops beating up a child and post “Based 😂” in the comments.
