I am proud to say I got a guy in a cowboy hat really mad yesterday by using the “women’s bathroom” at a McDonald’s. The bathrooms were a series of three lockable doors, leading to identical rooms, labelled: Men, Women, and Handicapped (their words, not mine). All three rooms had accessible toilets, their own sinks, and had vending machines for hygiene products.
Double bonus funny points: he didn’t even register my (FTM) son using the “men’s bathroom” at the same time.
Honestly every time I’m in a building and I see gender-segregated single-toilet restrooms, my mental mp3 player starts playing “Once in a Lifetime”

TIM stands for “trans-identified male”, it’s what TERFs call trans women and transfem people more generally, and also apparently cis woman Imane Khelif (I am become jonkler).
There’s a transmasc counterpart, TIF for “trans-identified female”.
I’m sure a huge part of the draw here is that Tim is a man’s name while Tif (short for Tiffany) is a woman’s name.
It’s more “They call us TERFs and we don’t like it so we will make up an acronym for THEM and see how THEY like it!” It really is that petty. Also the trans denialism.
