“Half our students are below average!” kinda vibes - KDR necessarily means that for every person with 1.5, there is someone with a 0.67, that’s just how the math works. If I’m anywhere near 1.0, I’m happy.

For sure, there could be one person with 1.1 and 10 people with 0.99, but the average will still be 1.0
That’s why recent games moved to counting eliminations instead of kills. If you contribute to the kill even if you didn’t land the killing blow it’ll count as an elimination.
It’s okay, games are just to have some fun. Real life is what really matters, so just run over some kids and old people to raise your real KDR

Remember, KDR is a flawed mechanic. I’d trade a 20-2 player who farms eco rounds for a 10-12 player who gets those essential kills that win the round/match/etc.
