First, thank you so much for this app. I’ve tried so many and this one was a no brainier, especially since it is so incredibly customizable. The major feature I’ve been waiting for is multi column views (I can never go back lol)
I have a couple requests: Is it possible to add voting without opening the post?
This is the only RIF screenshot I have lol but you can see what I mean in the bottom right.
Second, some posts get kind of wonky when there’s a title and image so it gets very long:
Any way to make the post on the right look like the one on the left? I think it’s specifically when the image is a link preview.

Not sure about the layout you’re using, but with cards layout there are swipe gestures to up vote/down vote without opening the posts.
I’m using a 2 column layout and swiping hides the post. I don’t see a setting to customize gestures but I’ll look again, I didn’t even think of that
On cards view, there is settings for “partial slide” where it goes from up vote, then down vote, and then hide post with full slide if that makes sense depending on how far I swipe.

Are the spoiler tags supposed to be working properly with beta 29? I don’t see any mention aside from one comment 2 weeks ago… Even longer ago on the github open issues page, so I was just wondering. (Usually spoiler tags are there for a good reason)

I’d love to see an option to exclude responses to a post from going to the inbox like in the reddit app. If a post gets popular, the inbox fills up real quick.

The fancy new photo picker is a significant downgrade. It can’t search file names, it doesn’t work with microSD cards, and it’s painfully slow. Can we get an option to select images with an external gallery app?
I completely disagree with this, but that’s probably because I actually have a photo gallery as opposed to a set of files.

You also lose the ability to use apps like scrambled exif 😢
Lemmy strips all exif information by default when posting, so there’s no need for a scrambler to begin with.

Yeah, plus one for this, the new picker is so limited compared to how it was before. Would 100% vote for a reversion.
I don’t know how it looked pre-update but the image picker from Sync for Reddit was absolutely more functional and still not ugly

I am not getting notifications for messages and replies. Is there a setting, that I am missing or is this not yet implemented?
The messaging background job isn’t hooked up yet, I was holding off as to not spam the lemmy servers at launch day with Syncs release. Will be adding push notifications hopefully soon.
