Yep you can do that here: Settings shortcut: Post options > Default post sort
Are the spoiler tags supposed to be working properly with beta 29? I don’t see any mention aside from one comment 2 weeks ago… Even longer ago on the github open issues page, so I was just wondering. (Usually spoiler tags are there for a good reason)
This does feel a little overlooked. It’s a top QOL feature.

How do I get access to the beta? I feel like I should know but I don’t and can’t figure it out.
The main version on the app store is the beta right now but with submitting finally in I guess it might be time to graduate out of beta.

I’m also confused; my version from the Play Store is v23. Edit: Oops I guess some broken comment hierarchy is still present in my build cause I couldn’t see all the replies from Sync. Edit 2: Ok so the beta version isn’t the same as app version, you can see beta version in parentheses here Settings shortcut: Everything else > Sync for Lemmy So I guess there are still some of these issues in the latest beta because I have beta v29.

I am not getting notifications for messages and replies. Is there a setting, that I am missing or is this not yet implemented?
The messaging background job isn’t hooked up yet, I was holding off as to not spam the lemmy servers at launch day with Syncs release. Will be adding push notifications hopefully soon.

Is it possible to upload multiple images? I can upload one image in a post, but can’t embed images in the body or a comment without receiving an error (“Could not upload image.”)
These errors come from your instance I’m afraid. Uploading too many images (even just more than 1…) can cause this.
Ok, thanks for the reply! I’ve been using Sync for a decade, and it is by far the best app I’ve used. Thanks for all your work porting it over to Lemmy!
Is there a way to give the new photopicker access to more folders? I can only see three (Camera, Screenshots and Downloads) but I have multiple other folders (from editing apps, screenshots, downloads from Twitter etc), that I now can’t access from Sync.
Added an alternative source for selecting images for the next beta.

Foss advocates aren’t saying he shouldn’t be paid, just that they would like the app to be open source.
Yeah, you haven’t been reading all the comments talking about how it’s a problem that it requires people to pay for the app then.
The F in FOSS is free, and many are very sure Sync shouldn’t cost, shouldn’t have ads, and any money going to Sync is stolen from Lemmy and its instances.
It’s not the majority. But it’s a very vocal subset (who gathered enough upvotes it looked… like consensus.)
It’s supposed to be free as in freedom, not free beer. I guess some people forgot about that.
