      If he did, it would be proof positive that the whole concept is a sham.

      If one of the worst war criminals in modern history gets to go to heaven, there’s nobody who doesn’t and the whole house of cards comes tumbling down.

          Close: he won it for ending it but it later came out that he deliberately extended it in order to help Nixon’s presidential campaign.

          Also, he wanted to stop North Vietnamese trains by blowing up the tracks with NUCLEAR WEAPONS in spite of that making no fucking sense except from the standpoint of maximizing death and suffering.

          For anyone who hasn’t read it, “The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas” is worth a bit of your time. It’s just a short story, not a long read at all… but a good read nonetheless
