They did a cartoon because they cant shoot down a real NATO plane. They cant even buy one and shoot that one down. Best they can do is an Azerbaijani airliner. Wow.

It’s not compiled into Firefox ever. A binary blob is downloaded after the first time you activate DRM. So just don’t activate it and it’ll never be present on your machine.

Ah, so that’s how they shot that Azerbaijani passenger plane. They should put the Krokodil down.

Is Russia trying to be the bad guy? I’ve been told that everyone’s the hero of Their Own story, but this is making me seriously doubt that. These stupid fucks equate NATO with Santa and then depicted themselves killing him. This is literally the most bad guy coded thing I’ve ever heard of my entire life. This is like the most blatantly evil children’s cartoon villain thing they could have possibly done.

inb4 they electrocute the Easter bunny, gangrape the Tooth Fairy, commit a genocide against elves and dwarves and firebomb Shrek’s swamp.

Edit: I will be eating my hamster any day now and same with using a horse to get to work.

“Santa” in the form you know it is a typical American holiday character. It made it’s way into Russia as well, but it is now used as a symbol of the west like it used to be. What for you may seem as good is something they may see as evil. They have their own “Santa”, as seen in the video, dressed more in the style of the Russian orthodox church.

Too bad though Russia doesn’t know the difference between Santa in a sled and an Azerbaijani airliner.

The quiet part out loud is russia is an ideological extremist warmonger who considers itself to be in a life or death struggle with an amorphous idea of “the west”. And doesn’t give a fuck about what anyone says or thinks about them.

Which is exactly why the west should treat them how they want to be treated. A wartime enemy.

That’s right up there with “Freedom Fries”. A weak and petty jab that nobody actually gives an F about other than the few people needing to compensate for their egos.

This is not the Russian government being paranoid of NATO, this is the Russian government trying to remind us population that the decadent west, where people have fun, is evil and they shouldn’t want to be like the west. Don’t enjoy life, be a good little slave for Putin.

It’s all smoke and mirrors just to add another seed of “hate the west” so that Putin and his oligarch friends can stay in power. Wouldn’t want people to get wrong ideas like actual democracy where people could make decisions that are good for them, now would we.

A world where Comrade Krampus canes fascists would be pretty awesome.

Unfortunately, Putin has absolutely no interest in punishing the wicked.

Not trying to justify this but neither the article or anyone here is picking up on the detail that Russians have their “own” Santa, that’s the guy dressed in blue.

So they are shooting down the western Santa and their kids still get their presents from their own Santa.

Idiotic video still but it is not like they kill Christmas worldwide. Just for everyone else, as in typical fashion.

“Father frost” is actually the “santa” version of many post-soviet countries, including Ukraine.

I’m missing where Russian Santa’s presents are shown, he mostly seems to be involved in surprise pyrotechnics
