At least he’s not smart about it and just yells it all in public. If he ever realizes he can do it quietly it’ll be an even bigger problem.

That’s the thing I don’t get. Trump got the presidency, he can just carry Elon aside like a burger wrapper

Are you under the impression that Trump actually has a lot of money? You don’t get rich by bankrupting businesses, and he’s done a lot of that.

He certainly doesn’t have enough to maintain the lifestyle that he’s grown to love.

He’s got bribes from all mayor tech companies willing to get in his favor. He doesn’t need any more money. He can order the mint to print him a stack.

He’s got immunity. He can litarally rob a bank and claim his presidential immunity. Hell he can kill Elon and steal his stuff LEGALLY

Except that Bond Villains are usually clever and invent something themselves. This dipshit is like the Bond Villain we have at home, from a rejected script that someone keeps failing to salvage.

King Charles is worse as a person than most of the UK government, for Musk’s declared values (I mean, not advertised, but even of the world domination kind) too.

What exactly do you mena by that? Would he not be the kind of leader Musk wants or something?

He’s a bigoted corrupt type, of the kind who are friends with half the small dictators and petty monarchs in the world. Musk seems to be over that, with the way Starlink is aimed to become some sort of “planetary cell network” in addition to “planetary internet”.

I mean, despite the way many people hate Musk, he and people similar to him seem to be interested in moving resolution of conflicts from battlefields to capital dimension, which is good.

But considering they haven’t yet managed to do that - licking up to King Charles may be in line with the rest.

It’s already come multiple times. But people don’t seem to learn. We had Trump 1.0.-Covid-Brexit. Now we have Trump 2.0-BirdFlu-Elon Boogaloo.

When I was younger, my sister teased and provoked me (I mean she still does but much less). Every time this happened, my parents told me to just ignore her. I think media should do the same when it comes to Elon Musk, since damn, everyone who doesn’t willingly choose ignorance already sees who he is. By this you are just giving him more exposure.

It’s hard to say what the responsible and ethical approach is for journalists given it is newsworthy that the richest man in the world (who is also extremely influential to the highest office of the most influential country of the world) is encouraging such an extreme and unexpected regime change, but also Musk, like Trump, puts out so much noise it’s hard to predict what will actually be policy they persue vs what is just noise

That’s not how it works—actually, that’s not how anything works. It’s not about doing the right thing; it’s all about what drives the most attention, clicks, or money.

There’s a reason every media outlet reports on every little thing the fat guy or this bozo does or says. There’s a reason you didn’t ignore this news and felt compelled to comment on it.

It’s the same reason 99% of these commenters have no idea who someone like Demis Hassabis is, was or will be: it doesn’t drive attention.

Oh please try Chuck. Please do. The one incontrovertible way to end the monarchy immediately would be if one of the inbred stands up and tries to exercise any real power.

A lot of troopies in the Commonwealth swore an oath on enlisting that then transfered to Charles. Charles has the biggest gang ever but Musk just wants to troll aus and canada more.

      Keep up.

Okay but how serious do they take the exact wording? In the US they swear to the Constitution and take that very seriously. It’s why Trump will need to destroy the military if he wants to eventually use it as his personal force. Are the British soldiers willing to arrest or kill their elected leaders on the word of a monarch?

Parliament asked her to do it though. That’s a bit different. If a monarch tried to force the issue it would go very badly. It’s one of those technical power versus real power things.

Clearly the king should just ignore this nonsense …… and ban him from travelling there. Preferably the entire commonwealth. Wait. I’ll make popcorn
