    Man, that’s too bad, it was really handy as the last defense against outages and didn’t have any additional setup costs.

        Yeah, but they don’t fall under “without any additional setup”, since the email was already provided to letsencrypt as part of the certificate request.

      Agreed. I haven’t gotten one of those mails in years, but it would be nice to get one if my cronjob was silently failing every day for a month.

      I mean, they sound like inherit operating costs and requirements to me and I don’t think an email anyone can randomly generate is that big of a privacy risk.

      That being said the multiple Emails I get do nothing but clutter up my inbox, I consider the most important part of generating a certificate to be automating it.
