I think it’s kind of an optical illusion, where different people interpret it differently.

I see the knees pointing to the right direction, but when I imagine them backwards, I can see what you might have seen.

She doesn’t have visible kneecaps and the angle between he calves and thighs is very unnatural for not-backwards legs …

Yeah, that’s weird. Does it federate out from fedia, but not in from ani.social? It might work differently between lemmy and mbin.

Edit: I think that’s it. If you look at the post on fedia, upvotes aren’t federating from ani.social back to fedia. Neither is my comment since I am using an ani.social account.

Fedia got one upvote from sopuli.xyz, but not mine from reddthat (at least not yet despite messages going through), so I don’t quite know what to make of vote propagation.

I thought communities/groups on particular instances were the hubs for distributing posts, but the more I think about this, the more confused I feel. I should probably just go read the code later and see if I can figure out WTF is going on…

(For now though, I’m curious to see what fedia does with this reply 🤔️)

Whoa, this post made it! Federation is weird. I wonder if ani.social saw comments coming in on a streetmoe post it didn’t know about, and fetched the commented post then. Fedia.io probably won’t retrieve this ani.social comment by @[email protected] , but I peeked over there and saw it.
