Measuring these uncustomized directly after booting is a pretty flawed metric, especially with something like KDE that has a lot of features that can be enabled or disabled. i.e. many features that are built into KDE might need external programs that are not included in the base install of LXQt or XFCE, and some stuff might get reused when you start opening LibreOffice, Firefox or a text editor (AFAIK this is definitely a thing if you use a lot of KDE/Qt applicatons). The desktop comparisons I saw during KDE 5.x had it at not that much more RAM use than XFCE, and I doubt this changed that much with KDE 6. Maybe something about Wayland, though? e.g. XWayland might eat additional resources. Also, the baseline RAM use seems really high when even XFCE uses 1.4GiB by default.

For the record, I use LXQt, not KDE.

Es ist mir sowas von egal, wie der Gerät von innen aussieht und dass jedes Teil in ner anderen Farbe leuchtet, finde ich vollkommen banal und ineffizient.

Ich habe eigentlich sogar das Problem, dass ich den Innenraum eigentlich GAR NICHT sehen will, es aber gar nicht mehr so viele Gehäuse gibt, die kein Fenster haben oder sonstwie “GAMING” schreien. Dafür habe ich Depp mir vor ein paar Jahren ein Gehäuse gekauft, das zu schmal für die meisten guten Grafikkarten ist (habe deswegen seit Jahren das Seitenteil abgenommen, aber das ist halt eigentlich auch kacke).

That’s the thing though, many american scientists who want to flee are ‘brown’ (hispanic, black, indian etc.) and/or queer, because that’s exactly the type of people who will suffer the most in the US.

This is about Germany, though. I don’t agree with the other person’s point, but at least in Germany, Ukrainian refugees are well-liked - I never hear anything bad about them even from the far right. Probably helps a lot that most of them are 1. white and 2. women and children.

I’m sure trying to take in americans (many of whom will not look like northern europeans) while having an extreme anti-immigration policy (e.g. in Germany) will go over well with no friction.

Ich spende mittlerweile regelmäßig an demokratiefördernde NGOs - wenn der Staat nicht will, mache ich das eben selbst! Ist aber auch nicht das Allheilmittel. Es geht ja nicht nur darum, Rechtsextreme zu verbieten, sondern man muss den Leuten auch etwas anderes bieten - es kann nicht besser werden, solange die Regierungen Sozialabbau betreiben und gegen links hetzen, während sie über die guten Ergebnisse der AfD jammern. Selbst wenn die AfD dann irgendwann verboten wird, wird dann einfach die nächste rechtsextreme Partei gewählt.

Immerhin eindeutig unterscheidbar vom kleinen L. Mein kleines L ist zwar auch in Druckschrift kein senkrechter Strich, aber auf so einem Schild sieht man das ja nicht, wenn das Wort gerade kein L enthält.
