I’ve been getting these from different made up polling firms

They’re not real, they’re data harvesting and potentially trying to scan people, but I’m assuming there’s something worse going on

ERG National Research isn’t a member of CRIC, (nor following their standards) they’ve even put out an alert, they’re suggesting you report them to the crtc if you have any complaints.

Best case they collect your info and sell it for scams and advertising. There’s no reason to ever respond to something like that. Zero gain.

No it’s data collection but not for a poll. I’m not sure if they’re collecting postal codes, active phone numbers or what but it’s not real

I got an audio version of this poll yesterday. 'Press 2 for LIB, 3 for NDP, …" stuff like that. Didn’t ask for any personal info.

I got one today pretending to be from the NDP. There’s everyday scams, but it’s giving Pierre Poutine. I smell shenanigans.

I volunteer with my party, and we got told last week that our candidate’s campaign would kick off tomorrow, the 13th. Maybe they got wind of something like that.

Are any polls legit these days? Seems like poll by cold call, text, or email/website would be skewed and a waste of everyone’s time.
